The event will equip you to identify risks factors, learn about legal aspects and resources in the community to keep yourself and loved ones safe. We invite newcomers, community leaders from different ethnic backgrounds, settlement agencies and social services (e.g. shelters) for these important discussions.
The event will:
- Provide valuable information for newcomers to stay safe from human trafficking and exploitation
- Hear from survivors, community agencies, police and justice how to prevent exploitation
- Share resources and supports that are available in the community
- Build new relationships with other leaders in the sector
- Provide refreshments and lunch
