This summit is intended for Indigenous community members, including survivors, families, advocates, front-line service providers, leadership, and allies working to address MMIWG2S+.

Yes. Advance registration is required. On-site registration will not be available due to capacity.

There is no registration fee.

Yes. All air travel and accommodation costs for approved attendees will be covered. The travel to and from airports will not be covered by the UIAG. Travel can be arranged directly through UIAG, or attendees may choose to arrange their own travel through their organization. Yes. Attendees are welcome to attend part of the summit. Please note that some sessions may build on earlier discussions.

No. This summit will be in-person only, and sessions will not be recorded or live-streamed.

Yes. A quiet / wellness space will be available for attendees who need time away from programming. This space will be found in the Laurentian room on the Convention Level.

Yes, Elders will be present throughout the summit.

We are working with the venue to confirm smudging protocols. Details about when and where smudging will be permitted will be shared in advance.

We are committed to making this summit as accessible as possible. Supports may include physical accessibility, flexible seating, and designated quiet space. Please contact us with specific needs.

French language interpretation will be provided. If you require interpretation, please indicate this during registration or contact us directly.

Yes. Seating will be flexible to support comfort and accessibility.

Yes. There will be a welcome snack upon arrival at the hotel. There will be a daily breakfasts, health breaks with snacks, and lunches. We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and cultural needs. Please indicate your requirements during registration.

Media will not be present at the summit. There may be media present at the Sister’s in Spirit event on Parliament Hill on the second day.
