This event will bring together agencies and leaders that work with men to address domestic and gender-based violence (incl. sexual exploitation and human trafficking). We will continue the conversation about how to meaningfully engage men and boys through support, education, healing and personal growth. We will also highlight male leadership in the violence prevention field.
Join us for this event, which will:
• Continue our discussion from the previous years.
• Connect you with other agencies that provide counselling, mental health supports and accountability for men.
• Share updates, trends and opportunities to network about programs and resources that are available.
• Provide a free lunch.
This event is for service providers, practitioners in community and justice, police, mental health experts and anybody who is passionate about this work.

Organizer: The EmpowerMen Project is part of the MaMaWi Centre located in Winnipeg. We engage men and boys to prevent sexual exploitation and sex trafficking of women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. We activate individual men and communities through education, online engagement, law enforcement, support services and research to challenge the cultural norms of sexual exploitation. We believe that men play a crucial role in this work to promote the health of our communities.
