Chris Poponick, President, The Ideal Way Business Services Inc.
Chris Poponick is the founder of The Ideal Way Business Services Inc., a community project development and funding navigation firm based in Manitoba. He works directly with First Nations communities — from funding readiness through to project completion — helping them access, stack, and activate the federal programs available for on-reserve housing and community supports.
With more than two decades working alongside First Nations leadership across Manitoba — including Peguis, Bloodvein, Pine Creek, Wasagamack, Garden Hill, Norway House, Wuskwi Sihpik, Little Grand Rapids, Pinaymootang, Hollow Water, Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, and Sioux Valley Dakota Nation — Chris brings a foundation built on trust and genuine community engagement to every project.
His work is grounded in a straightforward belief: the funding to address the housing shortage and the social and medical support burden in First Nations communities already exists. The gap is knowing how to find it, stack it, and put it to work. Chris played a central role in developing specifications for a Manitoba-manufactured modular home engineered to NBC Tier 4 and 0.61 ACH50 standards — maximizing eligibility for BCH, ISC, and Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit funding. That product is now deployed at Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, completing June 2026, 89% federally funded.
He is currently working with Pine Creek First Nation (Minegoziibe Anishinabe) on a 10-home transitional supportive housing micro-community in Camperville, Manitoba — an active BCH application with confirmed ISC HSIF Mental Health Proctor funding and Band Council commitment in place.
